Jacques, Belle bring additional size & toughness to Oilers lineup following OKC recall

General Manager Steve Tambellini announced today the Edmonton Oilers have recalled left-winger J.F. Jacques and defenceman Shawn Belle from Oklahoma City of the American Hockey League.Jacques, 25, had been assigned to the Oilers affiliate on November 2 for a two-week conditioning assignment. The 6’3”, 231lb Montreal, Quebec native appeared in four games for the Barons scoring once with 15 penalty minutes.
Belle, 25, started the season in Oklahoma City and in 17 games the 6’1”, 235lb blueliner has recorded 15 points (2G,13A) and 21 penalty minutes.
They will return to Edmonton as the Oilers prepare to host the Chicago Blackhawks Wednesday night and the Phoenix Coyotes Friday night at Rexall Place.
