With the Oilers down 4-2 midway through the third period vs. Calgary, the Oilers needed another spark to help complete their comeback.
Magnus Paajarvi did just that with a power move that most wouldn't expect to see from such a young player. Paajarvi gathered the puck at the Flames' blueline with a pass in his midsection, where he then proceeded to skate hard and cut to the net against veteran defenceman Cory Sarich. A one-handed effort to beat Miikka Kiprusoff was the topper in already incredible play.

Young Oilers forwards have made a habit of making beautiful plays to score their first of the season. Andrew Cogliano was no different with a goal to put the Oilers well in front of the Blackhawks this past Friday.
After dishing the puck to linemate Gilbert Brule just inside the offensive blueline, Cogliano drove hard to the net between a number of Blackhawks defenders where he made a diving effort to tip home a perfectly placed Brule pass.

Shawn Horcoff makes the initial pass -- Jordan Eberle does the rest. That's been the theme a number of times in this young season.
In what began as a harmless two-on-two against the Blackhawks through the neutral zone, Horcoff slowed the pace just inside the Chicago blueline where Eberle began searching for a soft spot behind the defence. Horcoff placed a perfect pass on the tape of Eberle, where he proceeded to cut across the goal-mouth, depositing yet another nifty backhand goal.
