Tom Gilbert\'s Blog: Thanksgiving with Tom
Hi everyone,

It's been a long time since my last blog and I've been hearing from some of you that you missed it so I thought it was time to sit down and write a new one.

I guess the big news of the past few weeks was Thanksgiving. I spent Thanksgiving with my girlfriend's family and a special guest, Joey Moss. As most people know, Joey is a bundle of energy and regardless of how you're feeling, if you're down or something's going on, he'll always make you smile. He was pretty much like a celebrity in our house and was talking about anything and just being his usual funny self.

The company was great and the meal was awesome too. We had a nice little turkey dinner. I know it's not my American Thanksgiving, but it's nice to have two Thanksgivings because I love turkey that much. We had all the essentials like gravy, corn and stuffing. My girlfriend's sister made some kind of home made pumpkin ice cream pie which was really good.

So that's the good news and in bad news the Vikings lost. I've kind of given up on Brett Favre. The media is being pretty hard on him but I'm going to add to that by saying it's really frustrating to watch.

We got into Minnesota yesterday and I've got to say that it would be nice for us to get a win over the Wild one of these days. I have yet to win a game in Minnesota in front of my family and friends which is pretty disappointing. Hopefully that changes tonight.

I always try to give a movie review in my blog and so I should probably mention that I saw the Facebook movie, the Social Network, the other day. It was probably one of my favourite movies in a while, just because it's Facebook and everybody is on it.

The funny part is that I went and saw it with Jason Strudwick and him being an old man (35) he's not on Facebook but after watching the movie he's going to start his own page, just so people can search for him. I'm sure his profile is going to be pretty funny so I'm looking forward to checking that out. He might get like one friend request every couple of months but that will be exciting for him. He doesn't want to get overwhelmed.

Anyway, that's about all I've got to say right now.  I'll try to think of some interesting stuff to write about next time.
