Oilers assign Abney
19-year-old forward will join WHL's Edmonton Oil Kings

Edmonton Oilers General Manager Steve Tambellini announced today the club has assigned right-winger Cameron Abney to the Edmonton Oil Kings of the Western Hockey League.Abney, 19, split last season with Everett and Edmonton appearing in 68 games scoring 13 points (6G, 7A). The Aldergrove, BC native was drafted by the Oilers in the 3rd round, 82nd overall in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
