Little compares to the experience of a live hockey game and part of that experience, along with a rocking home crowd and an intermission hot dog, is the 50/50 draw.  The draw has become a mainstay at all Oilers games and each draw represents two big winners: the lucky ticket holder and one local charitable organization.

At just two dollars per ticket, fans get a chance to win a large cash prize while supporting a local charity. With a limit of 30,000 tickets printed for each game, the prize draw on any given night can be up to $30,000, with the same amount divided between a participating charitable organization in Northern Alberta and the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation.

“The Oilers are pleased to be able to provide a 50/50 program that represents a high impact fundraising opportunity for local charities,” said Natalie Minckler, Executive Director of the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation. “Getting the chance to win a large cash prize is a nice added benefit to the feeling of supporting a great local organization.”

Through the 50/50 program, at 24 home games this season the Edmonton Oilers Hockey Club is also providing support to Minor Hockey Associations in Northern Alberta and the Edmonton Oil Kings Education Association.

In addition to over $1.2 million given to 50/50 winners last season, the same amount was given back to minor hockey, ringette teams, and charitable organizations in Northern Alberta.
