Faceoff for games played Monday - Saturday will be 7:05 p.m. Games played Sunday, October 10 and Sunday, January 2 will face off at 3:05 p.m. Sunday games on November 7, 21 and January 9 will begin at 5:05 p.m. The Barons will play one School Day Game on February 9 at 10:35 a.m. against the San Antonio Rampage.
There are six games on the Barons schedule that are being played on the same date as the NBA's Oklahoma City Thunder. Five of those six dates are either Fridays or Saturdays and will be played at 6:05 p.m. The lone Sunday conflict on November 7 will be played at 5:05 p.m.
The Barons will have two unique games, both played in Canada. Oklahoma City will be featured in the CBC's "AHL on CBC" series on October 24 when they visit the Hamilton Bulldogs, AHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens. February 17, the Barons will play the Abbotsford Heat, AHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames, at the Pengrowth Saddledome in Calgary. That game features the AHL affiliates of the Oilers and Flames in their first meeting of the season.
In operation since 1936, the AHL continues to serve as the top development league for the players, coaches, managers, executives and broadcasters of all 30 National Hockey League teams. More than 85 percent of today's NHL players are American Hockey League graduates, and for the ninth year in a row, more than 6 million fans attended AHL games across North America.
Just 45 days remain until the Barons season opener October 9 at the newly renovated Cox Convention Center against the Houston Aeros. Season tickets and mini packs are available by calling 232-GOAL (4625) or by visiting the Barons website at okcbarons.com.
