Oilers re-sign Ryan O'Marra
23-year-old centre agrees to one-year contract with club

O’Marra, 23, got his first taste of NHL action last year when he played in three games with the Oilers recording one assist. The 6’2”, 207lbs right-winger appeared in 74 games with the Falcons where he scored 12 goals and six assists for 18 points.
The Tokyo, Japan native was originally drafted by the New York Islanders in the 1st round, 15th overall in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. He was acquired by Edmonton in 2007 with Robert Nilsson and a 1st round pick in exchange for Ryan Smyth. In 175 AHL games he has 42 points (19G, 23A).
