NHL.com staff unanimous on Hall to Oilers

We're less than two weeks from the first name being called at the 2010 Entry Draft, June 25-26 in Los Angeles. A number of teams are having final meetings with their amateur scouting staffs to finalize their draft lists.

At NHL.com, we're doing the same thing. But rather than wait another two weeks, we're taking our best guesses at how the first round will play out.

While we have no idea which way the Edmonton Oilers are leaning in the Tyler vs. Taylor debate, the NHL.com staff is unanimous in believing Hall, the electric scorer from the Windsor Spitfires, will be the choice.

There's also agreement on the next three picks -- Boston will take Plymouth Whalers center Tyler Seguin, an outstanding consolation prize; Florida GM Dale Tallon will use giant Kingston Frontenacs defenseman Erik Gudbranson as the first part of his re-making of the franchise; and the Columbus Blue Jackets will take Windsor defenseman Cam Fowler as they hope to find the talented, puck-moving defenseman the franchise always has lacked.

Who rounds out the top five? Some believe it could be talented Moncton Wildcats defenseman Brandon Gormley going to the Islanders, while another puts high-scoring Prince George Cougars right wing Brett Connolly in that slot.

So which expert is the most worth that designation? You can click around and judge for yourself.
