One of the biggest days in the history of the Edmonton Oilers Hockey Club has arrived and edmontonoilers.com is there to provide all the coverage.

No matter the result of the draft lottery, the Edmonton Oilers are guaranteed to have their highest-ever selection at the 2010 NHL Entry Draft and an opportunity to grab one of several exciting prospects available.

We will be on-location in Toronto to get reaction from GM Steve Tambellini. We will also be onsite with our Twitter accounts NHL_Oilers and Oilers_Travels to provide information and photos throughout the day. Stay tapped in to our Oilers Facebook Fan Page as well for photos and updates.

Then Wednesday we travel to the Detroit area to get exclusive reaction from Taylor Hall and Tyler Seguin including thoughts on potentially playing in Edmonton.

Until the time arrives, try our Draft Lottery Simulator. More information on the lottery is below.
The 2010 NHL Entry Draft takes place on Friday, June 25 in Los Angeles, California. But before the draft takes place, the NHL needs to determine the order in which each team will pick.

With the Draft Lottery, all 14 non-playoff teams have an opportunity to win the draw. A win means that you can move up no more than four spots. For the teams ranked fifth or higher that means a draft lottery victory ensures they will win the coveted first-overall position.

The Oilers have a 25.0% chance of winning the draft lottery outright and a 48.2% chance of gaining the first overall pick. If any team ranked sixth through 14th wins the lottery, the Oilers retain top spot.

The Draft Lottery Drawing for the 2010 NHL Entry Draft will be held Tuesday, April 13 at 6:00 p.m. MDT. Can't wait until then? We've created a simulator with all the actual odds built in so you can test out and see how the Oilers might do on Tuesday. Click the button below and try it out.
