Two Oilers players are suiting up for their respective countries at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games from February 16 through February 27 this month. Oilers President of Hockey Operations Kevin Lowe also had a hand in putting together Team Canada as the team's Assistant Executive Director. 

Lubomir Visnovsky scored the game's opening goal to help lead Slovakia to a convincing 6-0 win over Latvia in the team's final game of round robin play. Slovakia will now sit and wait for its next opponent as round robin action wraps up on Sunday.

On Sunday, Denis Grebeshkov's Russian squad plays the Czech Republic while Canada takes on the USA. Finland also meets Sweden on what is being termed as "Super Sunday" with the three rivalry match-ups all playing a huge role in who advances straight to to the quarterfinals as one of the top four seeds and who needs to play in an elimination match.
