Jung, 20, who is currently in his 2nd season with the Western Hockey League’s Edmonton Oil Kings, will backup Oilers starting goaltender Jeff Deslauriers tonight when Edmonton hosts the Chicago Blackhawks at Rexall Place.
Nikolai Khabibulin will be kept out of the lineup for tonight’s game for precautionary reasons as he continues to deal with a sore back.
Jung has appeared in 20 games this season with the Oil Kings with a 5-11-3 record, 3.29 GAA and .903 SV%.
He was originally selected by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 7th round (183rd overall) in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
