The Edmonton Oilers had an impressive opening game to the rookie tournament last night, defeating Vancouver's rookies by a score of 6-3. Tonight they face the University of Alberta Golden Bears at Clare Drake Arena with a chance to leave with the best record of the tourney with a victory.
Once again, tonight's game will be available to watch online at edmontonoilers.com. Rod Phillips will be calling play-by-play with Bob Stauffer providing colour commentary in this one.
Last night, in their win over the Canucks (click here for a full summary, post-game interviews, photos and to watch the game in its entirety online) highly-touted forward Jordan Eberle had two goals and an assist. His linemate, Philippe Cornet, also had three points with a goal and two helpers.
The University of Alberta dropped a 4-3 decision to those same Canucks rookies on Wednesday night at Clare Drake.
