Preview: Oilers Rookies vs. Canucks Rookies

After three days of skating, scrimmages and drills, the Edmonton Oilers Rookies finally get their chance at some competitive game action as they take on the Vancouver Canucks Rookies at the Leduc Recreation Centre at 7:00 p.m. There's still a limited number of tickets remaining. The tickets are $20 and available through Ticketmaster.
Promising Oilers prospect Jordan Eberle is expected to anchor the top line between Philippe Cornet and Milan Kytnar, while Jamie Bates, Edmonton Oil King Brett Breitkreuz, and Stepan Novotny will make up the second line.

Springfield Falcons Head Coach Rob Daum, the man who will command the Oilers Rookies, confirmed that Bryan Pitton and Kurtis Mucha will share goaltending duties, with Pitton getting the start.  If you can't make it to the game, you can follow all the action right here at edmontonoilers.com. The game will be streamed live with Bob Stauffer calling play-by-play and Rob Brown providing colour commentary.

Vancouver's season got started last night with a 4-3 win over the University of Alberta Golden Bears. Kevin Connauton and Kellen Tochkin each had two goals in the victory.
