Oilers Rookie Camp open to fans

(Edmonton, AB) – On September 6th,Oilers rookies, draft choices, free agents and invited players will report to Rexall Place to begin five days of battling for an invitation to the Oilers main Training Camp. This year, fans are invited to attend the camp to watch the team’s prospects in action.

Oilers Rookie Camp will be open to fans on Monday and Tuesday at Rexall Place during the following times:

Monday, September 7th, 2009

9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. – Practice – Rexall Place
10:45 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. – Scrimmage – Rexall Place
 

Tuesday, September 8th, 2009

9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. – Practice – Rexall Place
10:45 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. – Scrimmage – Rexall Place
 

Parking will be available in Lot E at no cost and fans are asked to enter Rexall Place through northeast entrance near the Wayne Gretzky Statue. 

On Thursday, September 10th, 2009, the Oilers Rookies will battle it out with the Canucks Rookies at the Sobey’s Arena in the Leduc Recreation Centre. The next day, the Oilers Rookies will take on the University of Alberta Bears Hockey Team at the Clare Drake Arena. Tickets for both games can be purchased at www.edmontonoilers.com.

Oilers pre-season home games begin on Tuesday, September 16th versus the New York Islanders, followed by games versus the Panthers, Flames and Canucks on September 18th, 23rd and 27th respectively. Tickets are now on sale at www.edmontonoilers.com.
