The Edmonton Oilers have recalled centre Marc-Antoine Pouliot from the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.

Pouliot, the Oilers first choice, 22nd overall, in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, was fourth in scoring on the Penguins roster with 12-17-29 in 30 games. The 6'1", 195-pound native of Quebec City, Quebec was fourth in both goals and points for the Penguins and was seventh in assists and third with six powerplay goals. He also had three game-winning goals and was –2 with 20 penalty minutes at the time of his recall.

The NHL rookie centre scored three points in his last outing with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton as he scored two goals, including the game-winning goal, and added an assist in the Penguins 5-2 road win over the Philadelphia Phantoms on Wednesday, February 7th. The three-point game extended his scoring streak to three games as he scored 3-2-5 from February 2nd to 7th.

This will be the second stint with the Oilers for Pouliot this season as he was first recalled to Edmonton on November 29, 2006. He scored 2-1-3 with 4 PIM in 18 games with the Oilers before being assigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on January 8th.

Pouliot, who played eight games with the Oilers in 2005-06, has scored 3-1-4 with 4 PIM in 26 career NHL games with Edmonton.
