Oilers recall Hejda, assign Roy
Hejda, a 63", 209-pound native of Prague, Czech Republic, was obtained from the Buffalo Sabres on July 10th in exchange for the Oilers 7th round pick in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft. He has played eight games with the Oilers this season and has scored one assist with four penalty minutes.
The 28-year-old defenceman made his NHL debut with the Oilers versus the Dallas Stars on November 3rd and scored an assist at Columbus on November 10th for his first career point.
Assigned to Hamilton on December 13th, Hejda scored three assists with 21 penalty minutes and was +6 in five games with the Bulldogs.
Roy did not see any playing time with the Oilers since being recalled from Hamilton on December 13th. The 62", 214-pound blueliner was a healthy scratch in five games between December 14th and 23rd.
In 25 games with Hamilton this season, Roy has scored 6-10-16 with 19 PIM and is +16 in 25 games. At the time of his recall he led Bulldogs defencemen in scoring and ranked fifth on the team with his 16 points.
