The only thing that matters to Doug Weight right now is winning a Stanley Cup with the Carolina Hurricanes.
But the 35-year-old centre admits he's quietly thrilled to see his former team in Edmonton surprise the hockey world by reaching the Cup final. "Human nature says when you're lying there in bed at night, you're thinking about it," Weight said Tuesday before Game 6 of the Eastern Conference final. "I spent over eight seasons there. It's definitely on my mind. And part of me is proud of that team, it's a great feat what they did."
