The Edmonton Oilers would like to advise all fans attending any home playoff dates at Rexall Place to be aware of a road closure that will permanently close a secondary entrance into Northlands Park.
Starting on Tuesday, April 25, the date of the Oilers first home playoff game against the Detroit Red Wings, the City of Edmonton will be closing:
115th Avenue from 79 Street to 81 Street, and
79th Street from 114 Avenue to 115 Avenue
The result of this road closure is that vehicles will no longer be able to access the Northlands Park grounds via 115th Avenue, by the LRT tracks. The closest access points are the entrances at 112th Avenue, at 73rd or 79th Street, directly north of Borden Park.
We hope that this road closure does not cause you any problems, and ask that you please plan your route to Rexall Place in advance.
