On Monday, the Edmonton Oilers practiced at Millennium place in preparation for Tuesday's game against the Chicago Blackhawks. The big story of the day was still head coach Craig MacTavish's comments the day before on Oilers forward Dustin Penner. MacTavish told Penner to not speak with the media but he spoke at length about the forward's recent play. 

Sam Gagner also talked about his recovery process and the likelihood of him playing in the game tomorrow.

Another big news item was that general manager Steve Tambellini was on hand. Tambellini addressed the MacTavish/Penner situation and also talked about the trade market with one month to go before the trade deadline.

We also spoke with Erik Cole about the state of the team heading into tomorrow's game.
