Ryan Potulny recalled from Springfield
This will be the second recall of the season for Potulny, who first joined the Oilers on January 11th. He appeared in four games with the Oilers and has scored three assists. He put together a two-game scoring streak, netting points in his first two games with the Oilers. The 6’0”, 190 pound native of Grand Forks, North Dakota scored two assists in his first game with Edmonton on January 11th versus St. Louis and then added a single assist at Washington on January 13th. He was assigned to Springfield on January 19th.
Potulny tops the Springfield scoring list with 33 points in 38 games, scoring a team-leading 19 goals and adding 14 assists. He leads the Falcons with seven powerplay goals and nine multiple-point games and has registered 26 penalty minutes.
The Falcons’ assistant captain scored six points (2-4-6) and was +4 to help lead the PlanetUSA AHL all-stars to a 14-11 victory over the Canadian AHL all-stars at the 2009 AHL All-Star Game played at the DCU Center in Worcester, Massachusetts on Monday, January 26th.
