The proceeds of the auction will support the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation (EOCF). The Celebrate Hockey Auction is the third of five online auctions this year, but it is the first to include Anderson Retirement memorabilia. In addition to the equipment and jerseys worn at Glenn Anderson’s Jersey Retirement, fans can also bid on great items like a tour of the Oilers Locker Room.
“The Celebrate Hockey Online Auction is an excellent way for fans in Oil Country to keep a piece of history from the Glenn Anderson Jersey Retirement Ceremony,” said Natalie Minckler, Executive Director of the EOCF. “By purchasing an item in the online auction, you’re also supporting our local community because all proceeds from the online auction are donated back into our community.”
The Celebrate Hockey Online Auction will run for 15 days from January 21st, 2009 to February 5th, 2009. Click here to bid on items.
The Edmonton Oilers 30th Anniversary Season is presented in part by the Rexall Family of Pharmacies, Bell, Molson Canadian, ATB Financial and Ford.
