Rob Schremp recalled from Springfield
Forward has team-leading 18 points for Falcons this season
PrintGeneral Manager Steve Tambellini announced today the Edmonton Oilers have recalled centre Rob Schremp from the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League.
The 5’11”, 200 pound forward from Syracuse, New York is the leading scorer for Springfield this season with 18 points in 18 games. The 22-year-old has scored one goal and a team-leading 17 assists in 18 games with the Falcons and is +5 with 10 penalty minutes. His 17 assists ranks him seventh in the American Hockey League with five of the 17 helpers coming on the powerplay.
Schremp, the Oilers’ second choice (1st round), 25th overall, in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, has played three regular season games with the Oilers. He made his NHL debut with the Oilers on April 5, 2007 at Minnesota and also played two games with Edmonton in 2007-08.
