Alex Plante returned to Calgary Hitmen

The Edmonton Oilers have returned defenceman Alex Plante to the Calgary Hitmen of the Western Hockey League.

With Plante’s assignment the Oilers roster now stands at 35 players with three more players sidelined due to injury.

Plante made his seasonal debut with Calgary on Saturday, September 27th scoring an assist and registering two penalty minutes in a 3-2 shootout win over the Kootenay Ice.

The Oilers return to pre-season action on Tuesday, September 30th when they host the Calgary Flames at Rexall Place. The game, which starts at 7:00 p.m., is the Oilers fourth and final home game of the pre-season and the first game of a home-and-home series with the Flames. Edmonton will round out their pre-season schedule on the road with games at Calgary on Friday, October 3rd and at Dallas on Sunday, October 5th.
