Oilers take the ice for the first time at training camp

Saturday was the Oilers' first and only day on the ice in a non-game setting at training camp. Tomorrow will be the Joey Moss Cup and in preparation, the team took part in a pair of games spread over two on-ice sessions.
This Sunday at 2:00 p.m. will be the first opportunity for Oilers fans to see the team in action at Rexall Place. The annual Joey Moss Cup has Team White face off against Team Blue and for only $12 fans can attend. Proceeds from the game go to the Winnifred Stewart Association.
On Saturday, the Blue team defeated the White team by a score of 4-3 on the strength of two goals from Kyle Brodziak. Jamie Bates and Ryan Potulny got the other Blue tallies. Scoring for White was Shawn Horcoff, Geoff Paukovich and Marc-Andre Bernier.
In the second scrimmage, a completely different Blue team defeated a completely different White squad 5-3. Blue's goals were scored by Tim Sestito, Erik Cole, Jordan Eberle, Steve Staios and Andrew Cogliano. White's goals were scored by Lubomir Visnovsky, Ryan O'Marra and Gilbert Brule.
