Throughout the season, the Edmonton Oilers have provided their fans with an exciting brand of hockey filled with end-to-end action and great plays culminating with a thrilling stretch run.
We have taken 16 of the best plays from the past season in an attempt to narrow them down to the one moment to be deemed "play of the year". Fans will be able to vote throughout the process as the plays face off head-to-head.
Today, fans can vote on eight plays within the "left bracket" which includes such great moments as Hemsky's breakaway goal versus Calgary and Andrew Cogliano's record-breaking third straight overtime marker.
Check back tomorrow to vote on eight plays in the "right bracket."
