After his record setting night against the St. Louis Blues on March 11th, Oilers forward Andrew Cogliano has donated his game used stick and gloves to the Hockey Hall of Fame.
With his three overtime goals this season, Cogliano has also tied the NHL record for most overtime goals in a season by an NHL rookie. He shares the record with a pair of Pittsburgh Penguins - Ryan Malone (2003-04) and Sidney Crosby (2005-06).
Cogliano's three overtime goals has also established Oilers records for most overtime goals in a season and most overtime goals in a season by a rookie.
The NHL record for most overtime goals in a season by one player since the five minute overtime period was introduced in 1983-84 is four, accomplished six times, most recently by Vancouver's Daniel Sedin in 2006-07.
This will not be the first stick donated to the Hockey Hall of Fame by Cogliano. He earlier sent the stick he used to win the scoring title at the 2004 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge to the Hall of Fame.
