Oilers recall Jacques, assign Schremp to Springfield

The Edmonton Oilers have recalled forward Jean-Francois Jacques from the Springfield Falcons and assigned Rob Schremp to their American Hockey League affiliate.
Jacques played in the Oilers’ season opening 3-2 shootout win over the San Jose Sharks at Rexall Place on opening night (October 4th) before being assigned to Springfield on October 5th. In four games with the Falcons Jacques scored a powerplay goal and two assists, while registering nine penalty minutes.
Schremp returns to Springfield after playing the last two games with the Oilers. Recalled from the AHL last Friday, he made his season debut with the Oilers at Vancouver on October 13th and also played in last night’s 4-2 win at Phoenix. He was scoreless in his two games with Edmonton. At Springfield, Schremp scored 2-3-5 in four games and registered four penalty minutes. Both of his goals came on the powerplay.
