Oilers Community Foundation Donates Books to \"Kids Read!\"
Kids Read! Edmonton will run from September 19th – December 14th and invites students in Grades 4-6 to read ‘The Mystery of the Graffiti Ghoul’ by Edmonton author Marty Chan. To assist in putting books directly into the hands of students across the city, the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation has contributed complimentary books to each elementary school in Edmonton, and both students and educators are encouraged to take part in this exciting new program.

Along with author readings and mystery programs, an interactive website has been developed that features writing tips for students, discussion questions, and assignment ideas for teachers. Kids can also post their own book reviews, chat with Marty online, take trivia quizzes, send a postcard to the author, and enter contests including the chance to win two tickets to an Oilers game.

For more information on Kids Read! Edmonton, log onto the Edmonton Public Library’s website at www.epl.ca.
