Undoubtedly one of the most influential people in womens hockey today, Hayley Wickenheiser has established herself as a consummate professional over a stellar career highlighted by individual excellence and international success. Hayley is a three-time Olympic medallist, having just won a Gold Medal in Turin 2006, Salt Lake City in 2002, and a Silver Medal in Nagano in 1998 with the Canadian Womens Hockey Team. She is also a four-time World Champion, whose tireless determination and leadership assisted in claiming the title for Canada in 1994, 1997, 1999 and 2000. Hayley is also recognized as the first woman to compete in professional mens hockey as a member of Salamat in 2003/04.
Hayleys achievements both on and off the ice have helped to establish Canadian womens hockey as a sport to watch in the future, and has stirred national pride from coast to coast.
