Oilers make some roster moves
Three roster moves have been completed as the Edmonton Oilers begin a three-game eastern road trip.

Right wing Radek Dvorak was placed on the NHL Injured Reserve list after suffering a groin strain in practice on Monday, December 5th. He did not travel with the team as the Oilers departed today for games at Philadelphia (December 8), New York Islanders (December 10) and New Jersey (December 13).

Goaltender Ty Conklin has been assigned to the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League on a conditioning assignment and the Oilers have recalled defenceman Matt Greene from the Iowa Stars (AHL).

Conklin will join the New York Rangers AHL affiliate for games versus Springfield and Philadelphia this weekend and will rejoin the Oilers in New Jersey for their game against the Devils on December 13th.

Greene, the Oilers fourth choice (second round), 44th overall, in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, has scored two goals and four assists in 23 games with Iowa and is +1 with 34 penalty minutes. Both of his goals have come on special teams as he has netted one powerplay and one shorthanded goal.
