The Edmonton Oilers have activated defenceman Igor Ulanov from the NHL's Injured Reserve List for tonight's game against the Chicago Blackhawks.
Ulanov has missed the Oilers' last 10 games (Oct. 29 - Nov. 17) due to a fractured toe suffered at Dallas on October 28th. In eight games this season he has scored a goal and an assist for two points with eight penalty minutes.
To make room on the roster for Ulanov, the Oilers have assigned defenceman Dan Smith to the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League. Smith was scoreless with seven penalty minutes in seven games with the Oilers.
