The Edmonton Oilers launch the regular season tonight against the Colorado Avalanche at Rexall Place, and at the same time the Oilers will debut the new edmontonoilers.com. The website has been completely rebuilt in-house over the past few weeks.

The Oilers' New Media Production Manager and Webmaster, Andreas Schwabe says, No one knows our fans better than we do. So rather than out-sourcing the website, we built it in-house with our fans in mind.

The focus of the "new look" Oilers website is on the fans, and includes fan-friendly features such as:

• a new interface with easy to access key information
• expanded game day coverage
  - more images, video, audio, and multimedia
• all new fanware (screensavers, puzzles, desktop wallpapers, etc.)
• new message board

Another highlight of the new Oilers website is LiveChat, a weekly online chat show that gives fans the opportunity to question Oilers players, coaches and management from anywhere in the world.
