Appeared in 69 games with the Red Deer Rebels collecting 106 points (31G, 75A) and 51 PIM... in nine playoff games he had 11 points (4G, 7A)...was named to WHL East First All-Star Team...led his team in assists and points...was T-3rd in the WHL in points and was 1st in the league in assists...2009-10: Appeared in 67 games with the Rebels in the WHL where he had 65 points (24G,41A)...finished T-4th in WHL Rookie points...was named the Rookie of the Year in the WHL.

INTERNATIONAL:


Represented Team Canada at the 2010 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament in which he served as an alternate captain on the team, and scored the game winning goal in the gold medal game against the United States. Nugent-Hopkins finished the tournament as Canada’s leading scorer with five goals and two assists in five games.
