NHL Central Scouting's Blair MacDonald
"Justin has really developed quickly as he was only playing midget hockey last year. He's more of an offensive type defenseman, but is a really smart player. He knows when to move the puck at the right times and for defensemen that is a really hard thing to teach. Also, he has a nice knack for knowing when to jump up in the play, he can turn an even rush into an odd-man rush very easily; he knows when to jump up."

Westside Warriors head coach Mark Howell

"I think Justin has the skill set that a lot of teams are looking for at the professional level. He is a great skating defenseman with agility and plays with passion. His skating and playmaking ability is what a lot of NHL teams want. His development this season has been steep, and he has not missed a beat.  Justin is becoming a premiere defenseman in the BCHL and will continue to develop at Wisconsin after two seasons as a Warrior.  His speed, agility and vision with the puck will be a huge asset at the next level."
